Thank you, Richard, for your faithful preparation and presentation of these reflections. I don’t always get round to reading them and there are increasingly more Substacks that I could read: David Robertson, aka The Wee Flea has started one. He does a podcast called Beauty for Ashes which looks at the world through a Christian perspective and has recently joined Substack. Have a good day and take care in the heat (although it will be a bit cooler today). God bless.
PS: I don’t think John and James were twins; they were the Sons of Thunder (Mark 3:17, Boanerges). Thomas was a twin (Didymus, John 20:24, NIV footnote) but I don’t think we know who his twin was (possibly a sister?). Thanks again.
I first read WB Yeats’poem, “The Second Coming” when I was 17 and have loved his poetry ever since. Such a tortured voice that captures so much of life’s truth and reality. ‘’ And what rough beast, his hour come round, at last, slouches toward Bethlehem, to be born”. Thank you, again, Rhisiart, for your perceptive and illuminating messages, which I always look forward to reading, as, I’m sure do so many others. Graham Griffiths
Diolch, Gra - that's about the only WBY poem I'm familiar with, I shall have to spend time with some of his other works too. Thank you so much for your encouragement, it means a lot.

You’re quite right! I got my disciples mixed up (I'll blame the heat and a late night!) I'll edit the published version to reflect that
